Erika Delgado-Aceves

Born in San Francisco in 1992.
Raised in the industrial city of South San Francisco.
Got a BA in Writing and Literature from California College of the Arts in Oakland and SF.
Erika Delgado-Aceves has dedicated their life to writing and to the Bay Area.
They were raised by two Mexican American Immigrants, the youngest and only “girl” of three, and constantly motivated by their dreams, creativity, and catholic Mexican guilt.
Erika is a neurodivergent and chronically ill activist who could list all their conditions but to say the least the pandemic has been isolating as an immunocompromised human. They have focused on using creativity and kindness as a way to cope.
Music has been a large outlet for them, while they do make some in secret, they mainly obsess over music, and have dedicated a large chunk of their life to documenting and discovering music. They write about music, focusing on the emotions, experiences, and story behind the tunes. They curate, produce, and promote shows that highlight the importance of diversity and kindness. They host a weekly music podcast, through San Francisco’s BFF.FM called Abuela’s Pantry which focuses on coping and using music to do so. 

They are on BFF.FM's board as the Events Director.  They organize a monthly benefit show called the Besties Bash. 

During the pandemic, they finally accepted that they are an artist. Selling merch with their designs in support of 
BFF.FM. Using art, crafts, and writing as a way to understand themselves even more. 
Erika Delgado-Aceves is queer, they are non-binary and asexual. Their writing has always been about oversharing and being honest not only with themselves but with the world.
